DeVere Group has warned of a website pretending to be the financial advisory firm and "deceiving" would-be customers.

The group has issued the warning about a fraudulent website operating under the domain devere-me.com.

The firm claimed it is engaging in suspected fraudulent activities, putting individuals and their funds at risk.

CEO Nigel Green said: “It has come to our attention that this site has been designed with the sole intent of deceiving users by mimicking the appearance and content of the legitimate deVere Group website.

“This malicious act is not only a serious infringement on our brand integrity, but it puts clients and potential clients in danger of financial malpractice, and we’re taking immediate action to address and rectify the situation.”

“DeVere Group has already reported this fraudulent website to the relevant authorities, and we are actively pursuing all legal avenues to shut down the imposter site. Additionally, we have implemented enhanced security measures to protect our clients and the public from falling victim to such scams in the future.

"DeVere Group remains committed to the highest standards of security and client protection.

"We apologise for any inconvenience or concern caused by this fraudulent activity and assure our clients and the public that we are taking every necessary step to address the situation promptly.”

The official website of the company is www.devere-group.com.

The company has advised people to exercise "extreme caution" and verify the authenticity of the websites, especially when dealing with financial institutions.
